Day 8 "Stuff Around Bridge"
See look... water. Yea we took a picture of JUST THE WATER. I mean we're at a bridge a bridge has to go over something right? I could also tell you how much fun I had jumping up and down the glass floors while other people were trying to walk across it. Oh good times for all. Well, mostly just me, but some people laughed when I scared the bejezus out of some people. I know, I'm an asshole. But at least I'll try to keep things interesting. I mean we walked around the underbelly of a bridge. Shouldn't you be more afraid of the cars that are right above our heads speeding along?
This is a stone donut. I don't know why it was there but it was right there next to the big bridge. There is a caption at the bottom of the donut but I was not well versed in Japanese enough to read it and not motivated enough to read the English text right below it. Want to know what it is about? I guess you can go to Japan, visit the big boring bridge and go see the donut yourself.
I guess you can go here to learn more about the bridge too. Or you can always google the "big stone donut." There were many interesting things around the bridge. Or so we were told. I personally didn't find anything too much of interest. Sure there were people fishing and some nifty buildings but nothing of any sort of substance to go at any length about. My dad did find this grave some some guy I don't know. Apparently he is very familiar with the guy. I was just wondering why you had a headstone so big near a bridge. The only acceptable thing I can think of is that that headstone is for a man who tried to "Evel Knievel" it across this bridge and didn't quite make it.
